Experience
Our team is led by the founder of Tagle Abogados, José Manuel Tagle Alcalde, a lawyer who graduated from the Faculty of Law at Universidad de los Andes, Santiago, Chile.
José Manuel focuses his practice on Agroindustry and Natural Resources. He has advised numerous national and international companies on agricultural and natural resource project financing, water use rights, mining, sectoral permitting, complex negotiations and litigation, and business development.
He gained significant expertise working for the Legal Division of the National Irrigation Commission (CNR), where he acquired in-depth knowledge of water law and state subsidies for agricultural projects, canalist associations, water boards, and others. He later joined the Litigation and Natural Resources Department at Urrutia y Compañía. After completing an LLM at Osgoode Hall Law School – York University, Toronto, Canada, José Manuel joined the mining group at international law firm Fasken, Toronto. Upon his return to Chile, he founded Tagle Abogados.
